This mural depicts the connection between Haarlem and its Zimbabwean sister city Mutare. Inspired by the art project in the public space ‘SculptureGarden Spaarnoog’. In 2007, 40 sculptures were made by 18 artists from Mutare and installed in the gardens of the adjacent Haarlem Damaststraat. A true hidden gem.

By putting the sculptures in the sunlight, the city link between Haarlem and Mutare is made visible in a new way. Also fun; The sculptures in the gardens form a fun educational

scavenger hunt for children aged 4-14.

Location: Gedempte Oostersingelgracht Haarlem. In collaboration with Stoked and the municipality of Haarlem.
